Polarization can be observed easily in real time in such a way as to use a normal camera. Brightness, polarization intensity and polarization direction are output by the accompanying software, so a quantitative analysis is done easily. PI-110 can show another information that we couldn't ever see.

An array of polarizers with four different transmission axes is combined with an image sensor.
By comparing signals of the four pixels, it is possible to calculate polarization azimuths and degree of linear polarization.

The fiber orientation direction of CFRP can be clearly distinguished by polarized image. Various numericalization is also possible by data processing.
