Internal Stress Measurement

Software Interface

The dedicated analysis software, included with the PA-100 supports measurement, analysis and the saving of measurement data. Its main functions are introduced briefly below.

Stress data is analyzed by acquiring an image of the sample using a button in the main screen.
All functions are accessible from the main screen, simplifying operation. Previously saved data can be opened from the main screen and reanalyzed at any time.

The optical stress profile along an arbitrary user selected line can be displayed. Data can be saved in text format, and opened using Excel and other applications.

The minimum, maximum, standard deviation and a histogram of the amount of stress of an arbitrarily chosen circular or rectangular region of interest can be displayed. Using this capability, differences in the amount of optical stress can be quantitatively evaluated. This is a valuable quality control tool in the development of new production processes.

For intuitive understanding, stress distributions can be displayed as 3D graphs where the height indicates the amount of stress.
The 3D graph object can be freely rotated, so that all aspects of the stress distribution are clearly visible. All previously measured data can be post analyzed using any of the functions above.
