Axisymmetric Photonic Crystals
Output Coupler
An axisymmetricly polarized output beam is generated by the deploying the elements described below as output couplers. Elements for radial and azimuthal (tangential) polarizations are available.
The benefits of this method of generating an axisymmetricly polarized beam include ease of generating the beam, a highly axisymmetric beam, a high degree of stability, and a simple physical configuration. Uses include basic research of specialized beam polarizations such as Laguerre-Gaussian beams and development of applications such as optical trapping.
